Question

Where can I find academic sources besides the auraria library website?

  1. academically acceptable sources, must have gone through some sort of formal peer review process, meaning a process where other experts verify the validity and or relevance of the findings. SO, sources at auraria such as the various journals and databases which contain articles that, for the most part, have been peer reviewed prior to publishing. However, this can still occur in other areas besides journal articles. Books, either text, or published by academic presses, discussion forums, either live or online, which are "refereed" (another word for peer review), discipline specific reference books - see chapter 5 for more on that.

If you are running into deadends at Auraria, I strongly urge you to use the "Ask Us" button on the website and ask for direction. It may be that there is some resource or keyword they would know that could unlock more research for you. Just intuitively, I would assume this topic would be rich with material form nuclear physics and weapons perspectives, historical, environmental, etc.
